Managing Finance Elements
This demo shows how to setup a debt finance element to finance the project costs and revenues. Setup the payout, payback, and interest plans.
Steps
- Open Loan configuration side panel from table — Click to open the Loan side panel for the selected row so fields for interest type Fixed, Paid interest immediately toggle, Annuity toggle, Interest rate, and Delete and Save buttons appear.
- Close New Finance panel to main Finance table — Exit the New Finance side panel so the main dashboard returns with the Revenues header, Search, Timeline button, and Finance table including an Equity row.
- Review finalized interest and annuity settings — Confirm that Paid interest immediately is unchecked, Annuity is checked, Interest rate and Interest base are set, and Save is available in the New Finance panel.
- Confirm Interest base and show payment frequency — After choosing an interest base, verify the field is closed and an Annuity payment frequency dropdown appears below it along with Save and Cancel in the New Finance panel.
- Confirm Fixed interest type with annuity checked — Inspect the New Finance panel where the interest type is Fixed, Paid interest immediately is unchecked, Annuity is checked, and the Interest rate field is ready for input.
- Expand Annuity type dropdown in Payback plan — Click the Annuity dropdown so options including Annuity, Amortization, and Annuity by percentage become visible with Annuity currently selected.
- Review payout summary on New Finance Values — Back on the New Finance Values tab, review the payout summary reading Quarterly linear, 02 - Budgeting, At project end above the Cancel and Save buttons.
- Save configured Payout plan schedule — Click Save in the Payout plan dialog while the cursor is over the button to confirm and close the payout configuration with the current rows.
- Open payout Duration selector overlay — Click the Duration selector in the Payout plan dialog so an overlay with Time and Offset tabs and phase options like Pre-Development and Budgeting appears.
- Switch to Time tab and open phases list — Click the Time tab and open the Time phases dropdown so phases like 01 - Pre-Development and 02 - Budgeting are listed for time-based payout configuration.
- Open payout type dropdown in Payout plan — Click the Payout plan options dropdown so choices including All at the beginning, Monthly linear, and Quarterly linear appear in the dialog.
- Return to Values tab with Payout plan button — View the Values tab of New Finance where the Amount field is shown together with a Payout plan button and Save and Cancel controls for the loan.
- Review completed loan amount fields before save — Verify that Amount and Nominal Amount are fully filled and that schedule radio buttons and the Save button in the New Finance panel are available for confirmation.
- Focus on Amount field for Market loan — Click into the Amount input under the Debt Capital - Market loan configuration while Nominal Amount and the At the beginning schedule option remain visible.
- Open Debt Capital dropdown in Finance type — Click the Debt Capital dropdown in the Finance type section so options like Debt Capital, Market loan, and More options appear.
- Scroll to earnings and Finance type section — Scroll down the New Finance panel to reveal more Finance purpose rows such as Finance all earnings, Site Value, Equity Ratio, and the Finance type section below.
- Scroll Construction dropdown to more subcategories — Scroll within the expanded 01 - Construction dropdown until additional subcategories such as Development Costs and Soft Costs become visible below Professional Fees.
- Scroll to Finance purpose options list — Scroll within the New Finance panel until the Finance purpose section appears, starting with Finance all costs and 01 - Construction plus a Save button.
- Enter debt group in Group field — Click into the Group field on the New Finance panel and type a value indicating it is a debt-related group.
- Select Finance tab on main dashboard — Click the Finance tab in the main navigation so the dashboard focuses on Finance with the green total and Finance table columns.
