Workflows Setup
This demo shows how to create and configure an end to end workflow template to use it within projects to create documents, check invoices or batches.
Steps
- Open Select version screen for Doc WF workflow — Navigate from the workflow editor to the Select version view, where a vertical document workflow visualization appears alongside actions Validate, Unpublish, New version, Publish, and a Close button.
- Confirm complete Doc WF workflow and controls — Verify that the entire vertical list of steps for Doc WF appears along with the main actions Validate, Publish, New version, and Close at the top and bottom.
- Configure Data Exchange step with upload and email — Use the Create workflow step panel to set up the Data Exchange step to upload a final document and configure associated email settings.
- Close context menu while keeping flow centered — Dismiss the context menu again so that the start, intermediate, and end steps of the workflow remain clearly visible in the center of the editor.
- Name Business Rule step Convert an eail document — Type Convert an eail document to invoice into the Business Rule step name field to describe the conversion rule configuration.
- Close step context menu to keep focus center — Dismiss the context menu so the vertical sequence of workflow steps remains visible in the central portion of the Doc WF editor for further actions.
- Return to Create workflow step with actions — Exit the Create Action panel so the Create workflow step side panel reappears, now showing the configured step details and a Create button.
- Review Create Action panel over dimmed canvas — Focus on the Create Action side panel fields and dropdowns while the underlying workflow diagram remains dimmed in the background.
- Confirm configured Review Document step fields — Verify that the Create workflow step panel is populated for a Review Document step and ensure the relevant workflow properties are filled.
- Open Doc WF workflow editor from list row — Navigate from the Doc WF row in the templates table into the workflow editor canvas, where Start, Task, and End nodes appear with a task context menu.
- Verify new Doc WF template in list table — Look at the Workflow templates table and confirm that entries such as Document and Doc WF appear with a search bar and row actions.
- Toggle Default workflow checkbox in panel — Click the Default workflow checkbox within the New workflow template form to prepare marking this template as the default option.
- Open New workflow template side panel — Click the control that triggers New workflow template so a dimmed background appears and the creation panel slides in from the right.
