How to share your screen on Zoom

Learn how to share your screen on Zoom — choose a tab, window, or entire screen, enable system audio, and manage sharing controls during your meeting.

Steps

1. Confirm Zoom Chrome tab share choice — Click the Stop Sharing button in the toolbar when you're done.
2. Select specific Chrome tab to share — Now, click the Share button to start sharing.
3. Reopen Chrome tab sharing dialog — Turn on Also share system audio to include audio playing on your computer, such as a video or presentation soundtrack, as part of your screen share.
4. Observe black Zoom meeting screen — Chrome Tab: Choose this to share a specific browser tab, then select which tab from the list. Window: Choose this to share a specific open application window, then select which window from the thumbnails. Entire Screen: Choose this to share your full display, then select which screen, if you have multiple monitors.
5. Open screen sharing selection dialog — In the browser's share dialog, select a tab — Chrome Tab, Window, or Entire Screen.
6. Click mute icon in Zoom toolbar — In the meeting toolbar at the bottom of the screen, click the Share icon.
7. Review active Zoom meeting window — Open the Zoom app and either start a new meeting or join an existing one.
