Add a table of contents to your step-by-step guide

Enable the table of contents on a published step-by-step guide so viewers can jump to any step. Apply it to your share link, embed code, and script.

Steps

1. This is a sample title — The Embed code and Script sections have their own Customise options. Follow the same steps there to enable the table of contents wherever you embed the guide.
2. Copy the published form share link — Click Copy link to grab the share URL for your guide. Share it anywhere — viewers see the table of contents without signing in.
3. Configure Notion form settings and apply — Click Apply to save your changes. The table of contents is now live on your shared guide.
4. Navigate from Forms help to Canva docs — In the Customise share link panel, select the Table of Contents checkbox. Your published guide now shows a table of contents alongside the steps.
5. Review share, embed, and export options — Under Share link, click Customise. This opens the display options for your published guide.
6. Review Google Forms creation help page — Publish your step-by-step guide, then open the Share panel. This is where you control how the guide appears to viewers, including the table of contents.
