The Floik Chrome extension is what lets you record your screen to create Flos. Like any browser extension, Chrome installs updates for it periodically, and keeping it current ensures you have the latest recording features and fixes.
Why keep it updated
An outdated extension can cause recording issues or miss recent improvements. If Chrome hasn't updated it automatically, you can trigger an update manually in a few clicks.
How to update your extensions
- Click the puzzle piece icon in your browser toolbar to open the list of extensions you've installed.
- Click Manage extensions to open the settings page for all your Chrome extensions.
- Toggle on Developer mode in the top-right corner. This reveals the update controls.
- Click Update to update all your installed extensions, including the Floik extension, to their latest versions.
Best practices
- Check for updates if you notice recording issues, such as missed clicks or blank screenshots.
- You can turn Developer mode back off after updating — it doesn't need to stay on.
- If Update doesn't change anything, your extensions are likely already current.
