A Step-by-Step Guide is a Flo that turns a screen recording into an instructional guide with screenshots and text for each step.
Step-by-Step Guides are suited for help centers, SOPs, and onboarding docs, where readers need clear instructions without watching a video.
1. Click Create New to create a new Flo.
2. In the Select Format dialog, choose Step-by-Step Guide.
3. Enable or disable microphone access as needed.
4. Click Continue to start recording yourStep-by-Step Guide.
5. When prompted to choose what to share with Floik, select Chrome Tab, Window, or Entire Screen, then click Share.
6. In the recording pop-up, click Start recording to begin.
7. Once you're done, click Stop Sharing at the top of the screen, or return to the Floik tab and click Finish and Save Recording in the recording pop-up.
8. The Step-by-Step Guide uploads to your workspace.
9. Click Publish Now at the top right to publish the Flo.
10. Once published, share the step-by-step guide from the Share tab.
• Choose Entire Screen if your workflow spans multiple tabs or applications, so nothing gets missed mid-recording.
• Disable microphone access if you plan to add an AI voiceover or script narration later instead of recording live audio.
• Review the uploaded guide in your workspace before publishing to check that every step was captured correctly.
