Get started with Floik: A quick guide

Floik is a platform for creating Step-by-Step Guides, Interactive Demos, and Explainer Videos from a single recording. Each piece of content you create is called a Flo.

How to create and manage a Flo

Create a new Flo

Click Create New at the top-left corner to start creating a Flo. You can create a Step-by-Step Guide, an Interactive Demo, or an Explainer Video.

Customize your Flo

Click any Flo to open it in the editor. After recording, make your edits from the Edit menu.

Add elements

From Add elements, you can add the following elements to customize the Flo that you have created:

- Call to action (CTA)

- Blur

- Image

- Recording element (camera overlay)

- Spotlight

- Highlight element

- Text‍

Edit your recording

From the edit section, use:

- Crop

- Trim

- Music (add background music)

Add voice and captions

From the Voice section, you can:

- Keep your original recording as-is

- Generate an AI voiceover from your original narration

- Write a new script and generate an AI voiceover in 20+languages

- Manage and edit subtitles

Convert between formats

Use the Generate options at the top to convert:

- Video to Demo or Guide

- Guide to Video or Demo

- Demo to Video or Guide

You can edit the generated content the same way you'd edit the original.

Publish and share

Once a Flo is published, share it as a public or private URL, or as an embed code, script, PDF, HTML, or Markdown file.‍

Track performance

Open Insights to see how a Flo is performing with real-timeanalytics, using either basic or advanced insights.

Organize your Flos

Use My Space to organize your Flos into folders in your private workspace.

Collaborate with your team

Use Teamspace to create a shared workspace where your team can collaborate on Flos.

Best practices

- Record once, then use the Generate options to repurpose the same recording as a guide, demo, or video instead of recording each format separately.

- Add AI voiceover or subtitles before publishing if your audience includes non-native speakers — 20+ languages are supported.

- Use My Space folders early, before your Flo count grows, to keep your workspace organized.
