How to add more recording to an existing Flo

Learn how to extend a Flo with additional recording using Add more — record new content, choose where it goes, and merge it into your existing Flo without starting over.

What is Add more?

Add more lets you extend a Flo with additional recording instead of creating a new Flo from scratch. Use it to update an existing Flo, add a step you missed, or expand on a section — without redoing the whole recording. It's available both on a Flo that's already published and on a Flo you've just finished recording, right from the post-recording Edit panel before you publish. Use it whenever you need to update an existing Flo, add a missed step, or extend it with new content — without rebuilding the Flo from the beginning.

Why use it

If you need to update, expand, or add a missed step to a Flo, you don't have to redo the whole recording. Add more lets you record just the new part and place it wherever it needs to go in the existing Flo.

How to add more recording
  1. Open the Flo you want to extend, and in the Edit panel, go to the Edit section.
  2. Click Add more. The Add new recording panel opens, showing the time remaining — how much more you can record before reaching the Flo's maximum allowed duration.
  3. Click Record new. The Select format dialog opens. The format is locked to match your existing Flo (for example, Explainer video), and you can choose to Record live or Upload a video file instead.
  4. Your camera and microphone permissions carry over from the original recording — if the camera was off before, it stays off here too. Adjust them if needed.
  5. Folder and Language also carry over from the original Flo and can't be changed here.
  6. Click Continue, then record your walkthrough as usual and stop when you're done.
  7. You'll return to the Edit recording panel with a preview of the new recording. Under Add to existing recording, choose where it should go:
    • Add to beginning — places the new recording before your existing content
    • Add to end — adds it after everything else
    • Insert at specific time — drops it in at an exact point using the minutes : seconds : frames field
  8. Click Proceed to confirm the placement. The new recording merges with your existing Flo into one continuous piece, which you can edit like any other part of the Flo.
  9. Review the updated Flo and click Publish now when you're ready.
Best practices
  • Check the time remaining before recording — you can only add as much as the Flo's maximum allowed duration permits. If you're close to the limit, trim existing content first to make room.
  • Use Insert at specific time when the new content needs to slot in between two existing steps, rather than at the start or end.
  • Review the merged Flo before publishing — new steps may need small edits (titles, descriptions) to read consistently with the rest of the Flo.
